Marine veteran opens regenerative medicine clinic in Plains Twp.

The Citizens' Voice - 9/4/2022

Sep. 4—A Marine Corps veteran has opened a regenerative medicine clinic in Plains Twp. offering a non-surgical alternative for joint and pain relief.

Daniel Panzarella owns the new QC Kinetix clinic at 672 N. River. St., Suite 105. He said he wanted to help his fellow veterans and community members with the new non-surgical and non-prescription drug treatment.

Before the clinic opened, he said people in Northeast Pennsylvania would have to drive to a bigger city to access health care like this.

"With this new clinic, we hope to provide this unique and life-changing medical treatment right in the community's backyard," Panzarella said. "Our goal is to help them lead active and healthy lives."

Panzarella said QC Kinetix uses natural protocols to stimulate the body to repair or heal its own damaged tissues and joints as an alternative to surgery, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, pain pills and other prescription drugs.

The 32-year-old veteran, who grew up in New Jersey and moved around with the Marines, said he was inspired to open the clinic after seeing friends who are infantry Marines seek relief for pain from musculoskeletal injuries. They would typically go to Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers which would use more traditional treatments, he said.

"What stuck with me is I thought there has to be a better way for people to heal themselves," Panzarella said.

The new clinic in Plains Twp. has a doctor, physician assistant and medical staff who meet with and assess patients to determine if they could benefit from the regenerative treatments, Panzarella said.

Panzarella said the clinic is in a good location because it can serve a high population of elderly people in the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton areas and throughout Northeast Pennsylvania.

He said many area residents will benefit from the treatments "from those who have retired to anyone enjoying an active lifestyle as well as athletes and industry workers who can't afford a long surgery recovery."

Scott Hoots, CEO of Charlotte, North Carolina-based QC Kinetix, said he is confident that Panzarella and his team will be a tremendous asset to the franchise.

"Daniel is an ideal QC Kinetix franchisee," Hoots said. "His background in business, combined with his love of regenerative medicine, makes Daniel a perfect candidate for us. We can't wait to see his business grow and more Pennsylvania residents see the benefits of these treatments firsthand."

Under the QC Kinetix retail business model, Panzarella said patients pay cash and the clinics don't work with insurance companies. He said each patient will meet with a medical provider about his or her individual diagnosis and condition.

Former Dallas Cowboys running back and NFL MVP Emmitt Smith is the official spokesperson for QC Kinetix, a fast-growing regenerative medicine franchise that operates in more than 75 cities.

According to QC Kinetix, it used to be only elite athletes like Smith who had access to regenerative medicine treatments but rapid growth and innovation in the field have made the treatments accessible to everyone.
