tinnitus in ears and need for hearing aides

I am a combat veteran of the Navy where I served during WWII. I recently went to the VA in Butler where I was examined and confirmed I had a hearing loss. I notified the audiologist that I have had a hearing loss that has slowly gotten worse over the past 40+ years but my major complaint is the tinnitus that has become so disruptive to my life that my hands will shake when the noise intensifies. During the war I was exposed to the noises in the lower decks of the ship, including the boiler systems. I had to wear head phones at times to reduce sounds on certain duties I had on the ship and when this occurred I would get headaches because even then the noise was too intense. In the last week I was notified by VA that I did not qualify for any services or benefits. I am 90 years old and have never asked for any help from VA until now. It is so frustrating that the VA can't provide support/services for this condition.
