Hello, Douglass –

Thank you for contacting the Network of Care, I am incredibly sorry to hear of your situation. I would strongly recommend that you reach out to the Lackawanna County Department of Veterans Affairs if you have not already done so. Your local VSO office will be able to assist you in finding resources and expediting VA claims. They can be reached at (570) 963-6778 or online at http://www.lackawannacounty.org/index.php/departmentsagencies/human-services/veterans-affairs. You may also want to contact the Southern Tier Veterans Support group, who should also be able to provide you with some guidance. You can find out more about them at https://stvsg.org/. I hope this is helpful, and if you and further questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Best,

Alex Halpern

Some smaller foundations may offers free grant money for individuals your situation. You can try crowdfunding sites online also. Easy, look up set up! Anything helps! People just see your photo and read your story and donate! Good luck.
