Exeter Inn, Epoch to support Veterans Count

Portsmouth Herald - 9/12/2017

EXETER - For more than 10 years, Veterans Count has provided critical financial assistance and services to veterans, service members and their families and its efforts attracted support from the Exeter Inn and Epoch Restaurant & Bar.

The inn and restaurant will donate a portion of their sales in September from a special themed cocktail and an overnight travel and dinner package to Veterans Count.

"More than a third of our community is made up of veterans and their direct family members," said general manager Thomas DeSisto. "We want to give back to all of those who have put on the uniform in defense of the freedoms that we all enjoy."

DeSisto called Veterans Count the ideal partner.

"We want to make sure that veterans and their families have all the help and support and loyalty that they have shown to us all by choosing to put on the uniform," he said.

As the philanthropic arm of Easterseals Military & Veterans Services, Veterans Count has provided services to more than 9,900 individuals for challenges including suicide prevention, employment, homelessness, substance misuse treatment, transportation, legal concerns, mental health issues resulting from post-traumatic stress or traumatic brain injury. Emergency financial assistance for food, utilities, housing, rent, emergency shelter, gas, vehicle repair, child care and medical bills is also provided. For information, visit www.vetscount.org.
