Here's a car show in Redlands that will benefit veterans

Oct. 8--The Volunteers for Veterans Foundation will hold its 29th annual Veterans Memorial Car Show 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, in Redlands' Sylvan Park, at Colton Avenue and University Street.
The event will feature hot rods, motorcycles and custom cars and trucks on display. There will also be a pancake breakfast, food vendors, T-shirts, children's games, bingo, opportunity drawings and live and silent auctions, according to a press release. A separate drawing will be held for a custom U.S. flag-themed vintage refrigerator, donated by Harlow's Kitchen Concepts.
Admission for spectators is free.
Funds raised will help provide military veterans with emergency shelter and crisis management and will help families to maintain long-term stability and self-sufficiency, according to the press release. Volunteers for Veterans Foundation also helps active military personnel.
Stater Bros. Charities is among the sponsors of this year's event.
