Kettering VFW seeks donors for its first ever PTSD Awarness event

Dayton Daily News - 3/5/2019

March 05-- Mar. 5--The Kettering VFW Post 9927 announced it is seeking donations ahead of its first-ever Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Event this year.

The event is June 1, which marks the start of PTSD Awareness Month, and will be at the VFW Post at 3316 Wilmington Pike in Kettering.

The event features a hog roast, craft fair and raffle to raise money for the Dayton VA Medical Center PTSD Clinic.

Event proceeds will help with in-patient treatment. While a veteran is in the program, he or she is unable to leave the VA grounds or go to work, which is financially difficult for them and their families, according to the VFW.

Tax-deductible donations can be sent to: Attn: PTSD Event, Kettering VFW Post 9927, 3316 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45429.
